Time to wrap things up!
Unique tags and greeting cards are 16 pt, the gift wrap is 4 pt
… my first year as an urban beekeeper – honey!!!
the sheets are 28″ x 40″ – a great size for several gifts
it dries as vibrant as when it was wet!
so simple… just dot a few drops of pigment onto the paper
spritz lightly with water and let it dry overnight, use as little acrylic watercolor paint and water as you can – less is more!
closeup of the way it can dry overnight
It will continue to shift and develop as it drys overnight
endless color possibilities for unique gift wrap and tags!
a light loose gold wash dried quickly, then punched out (FYI no fiber in stone paper), honey info written on the back or front
hoping this adds some creative delight and ease to your holidays!
The 4 pt is thin supple stock and can be a touch transparent, however on the blue wrapping the paint coverage was more than enough to block any info from the gift below showing through. I would use 8 pt for a more opaque base if I wanted great white spaces.
In this post the red and green wrap was 4 pt and I taped a piece of computer paper on the label of the gift (only on the big package) to block any show through. 8 pt would have been more than opaque but I like the supple foldabilty of the 4 pt.
Enjoy and the very best of the season to you!
